Originally invented in the 1950s by Ervin Piquerez S.A., the super compressor was designed to achieve greater water resistance by using the water pressure exerted on the case to further compress the watch’s gaskets and thus make it more watertight. Farer has resurrected this novel technology for their Aqua Compressor collection, which uses modern materials such as a 316 Staliness Steel, sapphire crystal, and Super-LumiNova.
