DESCRIPTION
Capable of simultaneously displaying dual time zones, the freelancer GMT watch is the ideal companion for travelers.
The Freelancer GMT features a 40.5 mm diameter and 9.7 mm thick case which is equipped with two inclined crowns: the upper crown, at 2 o’clock, winds the barrel and adjusts the hours while the lower crown , at 4 o’clock, displays a Swiss flag on its side, thus signifying a unique detail designed by RAYMOND WEIL, whose function allows the GMT hand to be adjusted.
At the heart of the Freelancer GMT is the Caliber RW3230, a 4.1-thick Swiss automatic movement with a power reserve of 56 hours. The main plate of the movement is pearled, the barrel cover is studded and the bridge and oscillating weight are decorated with the Côtes de Genève motif. The movement is observed through a sapphire crystal.
The dial features a gradient of blue tones and is decorated with hour and minute hands, indicating local time. Covered with Super-LumiNova®, just like the indexes, they offer better readability of the time at night. The GMT hand, with its triangular red and white tip, displays local time. The thin silver central seconds hand features a very legible lollipop hand. Finally, at 6 o’clock there is a rectangular date window.
A 24-hour track on the dial flange is used in conjunction with the GMT hand to indicate the time in different time zones. Unlike daytime hours, nighttime hours are expressed by white numbers on a blue background, while a crescent moon indicates midnight.
The model is adorned with a blue calfskin strap with tone-on-tone stitching and a folding clasp, with a double-push safety system.
